This year, Silvy waas invited to be Photographer in residence in the South of Spain. Brandy de Jerez invited Silvy to visit for ten days in order to capture the spirit of the region and their product. Resulting in a book and exhibitions .

Silvy will be participating in this year's Spring Fling event between 24-26th May. Here you will see a collection of new work in her studio and a barn close by. Her studio is number 21 on the map . All brochures can be ordered through the www.spring-fling.co.uk website.

Silvy will be singing some of her favourite tracks with pianist Derek Paravicini and selling the the CD in aid of the Amber Trust and the Cork Neo natal unit.To be release in 2008.
This came about because ......

This year's Spring Fling Open studio event was a roaring success.Silvy shared her studio and exhibition space with 'New Face' Naomi Lethbridge. Not only was it fun showing with another artist but the diversity of work on show was well received.
"Best Flingette we've seen" ,"Wonderful" ,"Amazing","Truly inspiring","Fourth studio visited today,first one that has really caught my eye" are just some of the raptuous testimonials received.

Silvy and three other Scottish photographers were selected to be Artists in residence with the Brittany Tourist Board in 2006.The results of their photographic residencies will be exhibited across Brittany between April and September 2007.

Artist Silvy Weatherall has another of her recurring conversations with a 12ft x 8ft painting in a barn at her home near Dumfires. Entitled "Waiting for the Cut", it has been on the go for a year and shows a pile of old tyres.

Visual Arts Scotland selected "Winter BarleyII" for their annual exhibition at the Royal Scottish Academy, the Mound, Edinburgh.
17th March -12th April 2007

Silvy has been selected to exhibit 5 of her agricultural works to be shown at the Stroud house Gallery an January 2007

Silvy plus four other photographers will be showing four photographs each at the Galloway Garden festival.

Silvy has been selected to participate in this exhibion.Landmarks III showcases the work of some of the best Environmental,Land and Landscape art from all over the British Isles creating one of the largest dual venue open exhibitions in the UK.

All participants in this year's Spring Fling are showing their work in the Gracefield Arts Centre to promote the Spring Fling.
